Welcome to the membership page!
Why should you join the ADCC? Click here to find out!
The ADCC has four membership categories on offer;
Category A Enables you to race both road and mountain bike. Fee: $210 Category B This allows you only to race road events and covers you for logged training rides. Fee: $175
PLEASE NOTE: CA will introduce the 2011 license as of September 6 so unless you need your license urgently it might be worth holding off until then. If you pay after September 6 you will get the rest of 2010 and 2011 for $175.
Category C This allows you to race only MTB events and covers you for logged training rides. Fee: $55 for ADF members or $100 for APS members. Category D Is social club membership only, this covers you for logged training rides but does not allow you to race. It also allows you to purchase uber cool ADCC cycling kit. Fee: $10
To sign up as a new member or to renew your membership you need to do three things. 1.Complete the forms 2.Send the forms in (you would be surprised how many people forget this step) 3.Payment of the Member dues
1.THE FORMS Required form for all ADCC members Let's start with the basics. All members regardless of the category and whether you are new or renewing will need to complete an ADCC membership. This can be done by, A.completing the online ADCC membership form (which is the preferred option) OR B.downloading and completing the PDF version. This needs to be sent in as per the instructions in step 2.
BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE, SO KEEP READING
Required form for CA License If you need a CA license you will need to complete the Cycling Australia form and send it to the Club Secretary. Members renewing their CA license can opt to use the online system available on the CA website
Required form for MTBA License If you need a MTBA license you will need to complete the MTBA form and send it to the Club Secretary.
2. WHERE TO SEND THE FORMS
Once you have completed the forms you’ll need to send them to the club secretary either by;
Email: If you have access to a scanner, you email the forms to the secretary directly Fax: (02)6169 3207 Post: The Secretary Australian Defence Cycling Club PO Box 1237 Dickson, ACT, 2602
3. PAYMENT That right! “Show me the money”. The club's accounts are with ADCU. Because of the changes that have occurred since the club's inception, the account name is slightly different from the club name. It is important to ensure that you enter the details exactly as they appear below when making a deposit, either electronically or in person. Many financial institutions will reject transactions where the account name is not an exact match. This leads to delays in processing your membership or uniform order, as we cannot complete the transaction until we have confirmed payment.
There are also important differences if you're transferring money from an ADCU account or from a different financial institution. Read below for more:
Transferring from an ADCU account: Account number: 676980S1 Account name: ADF CYCLING CLUB Reference: [M], PMKEYS, Surname, – The [M] helps identify this is a membership payment
Transferring from a NON-ADCU account: BSB: 802-397 Account number: 100092882 Account name: ADF CYCLING CLUB Reference: [M], PMKEYS, Surname
SO WHAT HAPPENS NOW?
Generally speaking if you submit your forms via email or fax you should receive a response with 24 -48 hours. The secretary will endorse your application with the "stamp of power" otherwise know as the club stamp and return a copy to you via email. This is your interim license which is valid for 30 days. Your application will then be forwarded onto CA or MTBA who will in turn send you your license card.
The membership mailbox is checked twice a week so if you mail your application there maybe a delay in processing it. If your application is urgent please email or fax your application.
Please note applications for CAT D membership which are submitted online are processed automatically. After you submit your application you will receive an email with confirmation of your membership.
If you have any questions please contact the Club Secretary
